Background

Samsung Visual Display (Consumer TV) headquartered out of Korea wants to create a microsite for press (media/journalists) for upcoming product launches, brand & business news, and also serve as a portal for journalists to ask questions and review a frequently list of updated Q&A.

Samsung would like to explore having the microsite optimized for mobile viewing.

Request

Design a microsite for Samsung that will allow the brand to interact with journalists all around the globe to showcase their latest TV models. The site should be optimized for mobile and highly secured. It should also include a single sign-on for the client and special guests.

The microsite should also include: product pictures and information, a contact form for journalists questions and the ability to download press release documents from Samsung.

Project needs to be ready before CES 2021.

Challenge

Samsung wants to invite a curated list of journalists and have them follow a bulletproof account creation process, which includes signing an NDA agreement. Journalists cannot skip this step and must wait for NDA submission approval from Samsung before accessing the microsite.

The account creation and sign-in processes need to vary depending on the status of specific events. Considering that there will be a unique flow for Launch Events and a different one for Live Events, the NDA needs to be signed for each scenario individually.

Once approved, accounts need to be secured using a 2FA sign-in process, which requires a unique device to be registered during account creation as the sole holder of the 2FA sign-in token. This device is provided to journalists ahead of Launch and Live Events.

Solution

For the account creation and sign-in with NDA agreement, two different flows were created:
